In 2012, in addition to doing shows and filling orders, Rebecca did an art project a day using the suggestions from a book called 365 A Daily Creativity Journal by Noah Scalin. The projects were quite diverse and encouraged exploration into all kinds of materials and approaches. She posted pictures and descriptions of what she came up with each day on her blog. At the end of the year she published a calendar featuring many of the results and presented the body of work and a discussion of the process at a well-attended gathering at the Bridge Gallery in Shepherdstown, WV. Fluent Magazine featured an article about the year?s endeavor. It was a great experience for Rebecca and demonstrated to her how interested people are in the creative process. This has led to the teaching of creativity workshops at Craftworks in Charles Town, WV on a monthly basis, as well as offering private coaching sessions to individuals.
You can see all 365 projects and read the descriptions of the processes involved on her blog www.wordkeepers.blogspot.com.
